MSU Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities recently welcomed Madison Overbey to team RCPD in June 2022 as an Ability Access Specialist for neurodivergent students and staff. Madison graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with her Bachelor of Arts and from Nova Southeastern University with her Master's of Science. She also received a certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity with a specialization in Autism from Landmark College. After working in the field of disability services at higher education institutions across the country, Madison brings her passion for serving and supporting students to Michigan State University. In her role as an Ability Access Specialist, Madison will work with neurodivergent students and employees to ensure that MSU is an inclusive and accessible campus for all Spartans.
When asked what inspires her, Madison responded, “The humans around me! I love to talk, share, and collaborate with those in my circles – they are always challenging me and my thinking, ultimately making me a better human being. When I am able to share excitement with a student or client that I work with, I get all the more jazzed.”
Outside of the office, Madison can be found attending indie/alternative concerts or exploring the great outdoors. Welcome to RCPD, Madison! We are so excited to have you on our team!
