Tesia Freer joined the RCPD team as the Access Specialist for blindness and visual impairment in December of 2020. Her primary responsibilities include working with blind/visually impaired faculty, staff, and students needing employment and academic accommodations. Tesia is a Western Michigan University alumni with a bachelors in speech pathology (2013) and a masters in vision rehabilitation therapy (2015). Prior to coming to MSU, she worked as a blind rehabilitation specialist at the Cleveland VA Medical Center where she taught daily living skills and access technology to blind and visually impaired Veterans. In her spare time, Tesia enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, attending concerts, and playing the saxophone.
