Social Distancing doesn’t have to be a barrier to career development and gaining internship opportunities!
The Bosco MSU-MRS Careers Collaborative is a program that provides assistance to MSU students with disabilities for securing high-quality internships and employment, exploration of career options through labor market analysis, resume development, interview readiness, refinement of professional work etiquette, and the facilitation of academic-life to work-life transitions. Due to recent world events, the Careers Collaborative services have transitioned online to continue supporting students outside of in-person meetings and events. Mallory Godin, a counselor with Michigan Rehabilitation Services, who serves MSU students, is facilitating this process.
Starting Thursday, April 9, 2020, at 3 PM and each following Thursday, students can meet with Mallory and fellow program participants online for weekly virtual Q&A sessions. If you are interested in learning more about the Careers Collaborative or would like to join the connection with Mallory, contact her by email at godinm1@michigan.gov. If you'd like to share your experiences and how your employment, job search, and life in general have been affected by the coronavirus, consider taking this survey.
The Careers Collaborative is also helping students prepare for and access the Career Services Network’s Virtual Career Center events. The Virtual Career Center still provides the same services as they have in the past, but now from the comfort of your own home, such as:
