Every spring, a ceremony called May Morning Sing celebrates the induction of a new Tower Guard which consists of a select few of the top 5% of Michigan State’s freshman class. This year, the RCPD was delighted to welcome 80 members to the 2018-19 Tower Guard class. These outstanding students will volunteer 120 hours to the RCPD during their Sophomore year. Tower Guard members translate textbooks into formats that are accessible to students of varying abilities, work one-on-one with students, and organize fundraisers in support of the RCPD. This day that represents a strong partnership between Michigan State Undergraduates and the RCPD was shared by the Department of Undergraduate Education in this article.
