October is a special month for working towards connecting the value of higher education to success in our community. We are thankful to these outside sources that worked to highlight RCPD’s efforts of maximizing ability and opportunity at MSU.
First, an article written by MSU Today about “Campus partnerships, collaboration ensures success for Spartans with disabilities. It highlights October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Second, another article written by MSU Today highlights Alex’s Great State Race that takes place before the infamous rivalry football game between MSU and U of M. Alex's Great State Race unites Spartans, Wolverines Race to benefit students with disabilities from both schools in honor of former MSU student Alex Powell
Last but not least, The State News posted an article about October being Blindness Awareness Month and understanding the spectrum of blindness. Blindness Awareness Month: blindness on a spectrum, not a hindrance
While the RCPD works all year round to help those with disabilities maximize their fullest potential while at MSU, October proves to be one of our busiest months of bringing awareness to the MSU community. It is nice to see some of our efforts being highlighted and shared from our friends at MSU Today and The State News.
