She was invited to attend the event as the keynote speaker, sharing insights from her experience with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), which is a disorder that causes mucus to build up and damage organs in the body, particularly the lungs and pancreas. More that 30,000 US adults and kids have CF. At this event, Emma discussed her journey with CF, from being diagnosed in 6th grade up until present day as a college student. She highlighted her accomplishments despite having CF, including international travel to Japan and Germany and attending Space Camp. Emma provided inspiration and encouragement for individuals and families impacted by CF, assuring them that success is possible despite the challenges that the disease may pose.
